Self-taught while in prison, Damien specialises in photo-realistic drawings using graphite. In 2021, Damien completed a contract with Random House to illustrate the book This is Ear Hustle,. He has also held six solo art exhibitions, including one at the San Francisco Public Library, and has been part of eight group exhibitions, ranging from Sydney to New York.

Ear Hustle, an award winning podcast, looks at the daily realities of life inside prison shared by those living it, and stories from the outside, post-incarceration. This Is Ear Hustle, written by podcast co-hosts Nigel Poor and Earlonne Woods, and illustrated by Damien Linnane, tells the story of the podcast.
Damien's continues to illustrate for Ear Hustle, providing the cover art for Episode 80, the season 10 bonus episode, Episode 91, Episode 100 and all of Seasons 13, 14 and 15.

Stories from Ear Hustle is Damien's seventh solo exhibition and features the artworks he illustrated for the award-winning podcast Ear Hustle.
The exhibition is on display from November 1, 2025 until January 30, 2026. Once the exhibition comes down the artworks will go on display in California. Dates and times to be confirmed.
