Self-taught while in prison, Damien specialises in photo-realistic drawings using graphite. In 2021, Damien completed a contract with Random House to illustrate the book This is Ear Hustle,. He has also held five solo art exhibition, and is currently workign on a series of commissioned pieces, due to be exhibited in Newcastle in March 2023. Individual commissions are accordingly closed at present while this exhibition is being worked on.

Broken Chains : Prisoners Unlocking Potential
Digital exhibition currently on display at Newcastle Digital Library and also online.

Broken Chains is a feature exhibition of 10 drawings and biographies hosted by Newcastle Library. The exhibition accompanies a podcast series they commissioned Damien to host on the prison system.


Portraits of Crime
August 6 - October 8, 2022
Solo exhibition to be displayed at  Charlestown Public Library, Charelstown.

Portraits of Crime, Damien's fifth solo art exhibition, explores moments in history where people violated unjust laws. After being displayed in Charlestown, the artworks will be incorporated into the 'Beyond the Bars' group exhibition at the Queensland Maritime Museum on October 15.
