Scarred now an audiobook

It's hard to believe its nearly six years since Scarred, the book I wrote by hand while I was in prison, was released in paperback and as an eBook.

Today I'm pleased to announce that a small dream of mine has just come true, as Scarred has now also been adapted into an audiobook. It's voiced by professional narrator Mat Dwyer, and I've been thrilled to hear how he has brought the characters I created to life.

Scarred is a very personal book for me. Firstly, it represents my decision to use my time in custody constructively, after I was told there was no therapy, rehabilitation or tertiary education available during my sentence. Perhaps more importantly, as explained in my second book, my memoir Raw, it represented an opportunity to unpack and process parts of my own personal journey, and contemplate where my downward spiral of revenge could have taken me if I hadn't already made the decision to stop what I was doing at the time. Not to mention, of course, that it also started my journey as an author.

It's also hard to believe this year is nearly over. As usual, the busier I am, the less time I have had to update my website, though in related news I'm pleased to let you know my third book, Captive Writers, is completed and is now in post-production. So stay tuned for updates about that. They'll also be more of a 'hard' launch of Scarred in audiobook when my third book is released, but of course, you're very welcome to enjoy it in the meantime.
