Ironically the more things I seem to be doing, the less likely I am to find the time to update them on my website. Once again Ear Hustle hired me to do some illustrations for season 16 of their podcast, and Australians are about to get their first, and probably only chance to see all my illustrations for Ear Hustle in person.
Stories From Ear Hustle, my seventh solo art exhibition (partially pictured), is currently on display at the Windale Library in Newcastle. There will be a launch party and talk on Saturday November 1st at 11am. See here. Once the display comes down in January 2026, the works will be sent to California to eventually go on display there.
You'll also be able to see another art exhibition I've curated in Newcastle next month as well. Visions Through the Eyes of a Palestinian Prisoner, the second exhibition I've curated, will go on display from November 20-30 at The Creator Incubator. More details are here. There will be a launch party at 6pm on Saturday the 22nd of November, with ARIA-Award winning Indigenous rapper Dobby performing at the event. The Visions exhibition showcases the works of Palestinian artist and former political prisoner Mohannad Al Azzeh, who I interviewed back in issue 16 of Paper Chained. The show will consist of original drawings Mohannad smuggled out of Ofer prison in the West Bank (Palestinians are not allowed to make art in Israeli prisons), and also paintings created through art therapy to address PTSD he suffered as a result of his imprisonment.
The third display of the Paper Chained International exhibition will also be held at the same gallery next February, though they'll be more updates about that closer to the date, alongside updates about my Ear Hustle exhibition touring to California. I hope to see you at one, if not all of the events.
